💡 The world we live in is being transformed at high speed by artificial intelligence. With increasingly powerful technology at our disposal, a fundamental question arises: How will we use this technology?
Do we have the spiritual, ethical, and social maturity to integrate these tools and co-create a more harmonious world, or are we heading towards a dystopia controlled by large corporations and governments?
The real challenge is not technological: it is one of consciousness.
This article explores how our level of consciousness when using, creating, and consuming AI will define the course of humanity.

What do we mean by consciousness?
Before we continue, let's clarify what "consciousness" means in the context of this article.
It’s not something mystical. It’s practical.
It's the ability to think beyond what benefits you only. It’s asking yourself: Does this also benefit my community, people I don’t know, or the planet?
It’s fundamentally understanding that we are part of huge interconnected networks – social, economic, ecological – and that each small action we take, truly has an impact on the entire system.
Understanding the concept of consciousness is simple. Applying it, however, presents a great challenge.
Why is it so difficult for us? Because we live in such vast and complex systems, surrounded by billions of people, that it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that our individual actions don't have a real impact.
It’s time to change the paradigm: From individualistic to collective thinking

It’s normal to think: "I’m just one more person, what does my action matter?" But, what if EVERYONE thinks this way? Isn't it — "me first, survival of the fittest" — precisely the mentality that has caused many of the problems we face today?
Technology itself is neither good nor bad; it only amplifies what we already are.
If the internet and social media have shown us the good, the beautiful, as well as the bad and the ugly of humanity, AI will multiply that effect ENORMOUSLY.
The rise of AI places us at a transcendental point in human history, requiring an urgent and collective response that prioritizes collaboration over ruthless competition.
Technology is advancing at a pace much greater than our consciousness, and WE MUST RISE TO THIS CHALLEGE.
Two Possible Scenarios for Our Future
Now, I invite you to imagine two possible scenarios, to better understand the impact of our consciousness in this process.

A Future of Radical Abundance
Imagine a world where AI not only facilitates our daily lives but becomes a true ally in solving humanity’s most urgent and complex challenges:
🔬 Accelerate the discovery of cures for diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, and rare conditions through AI-driven biomedical research.
⚡ Create unlimited clean energy by optimizing fusion, solar, and new technologies for global accessibility and sustainability.
🧠 Revolutionize education with personalized, lifelong learning systems that adapt to every student — anywhere in the world.
🌆 Redesign our cities to be more inclusive, efficient, and centered on human well-being.
🌿 Regenerate the planet, restoring ecosystems, reversing climate damage, and making sustainable living the default.
🤝 Empower communities with transparent, decentralized systems that promote justice, participation, and shared prosperity.
Great entrepreneurs and futurists of our time like Peter Diamandis, Elon Musk, and Ray Kurzweil predict, in the long term, a future of radical abundance.
Now, lets look at the second scenario.
The Risk of a Technological Dystopia
The danger of not acting with consciousness could lead us to a dystopia, where large corporations, governments, and even ordinary citizens would use AI to:
🧠 Manipulate information
👁️🗨️ Increase surveillance and social control
💰 Deepen existing inequalities
📰 Create false realities and widespread misinformation
🤖 Dehumanize our interactions by automating everything
Does this sound familiar? Probably. Many of these things we are already seeing or feeling up close. And yes, the same experts who speak of a future of radical abundance also agree that we may go through a complicated phase — a sort of short-term dystopia — while society adapts to the massive changes that AI will bring.
Collective Responsibility: We All Have a Role to Play

At the end of the day, the future we face with AI is not written, and it depends on what we do NOW.
This is not something that only experts, governments, or large corporations are responsible for. Each one of us — as individuals, in our organizations, and as a society — have a crucial role to play in how this technology is deployed and used.
Here lies our power and responsibility.
Think about this: every time you create, interact with, or consume information influenced by AI, you are putting a brick in the future. Are you laying one that reinforces control, fear, and hatred? Or one that points toward a more loving, abundant, and balanced future for everyone?
Conscious Use: Key Questions You Must Ask Yourself

Acting with consciousness in this digital age means asking the right questions.
If you’re creating or developing products/services with AI: Ask yourself: Am I minimizing biases? What potential impact — positive or negative — could my creation have on society and the planet? How can I ensure transparency and security?
If you’re using AI tools (apps, assistants, etc.): Ask yourself: Am I verifying the information it provides? Am I aware of the data I’m sharing? Am I using it to enhance my capabilities or to avoid thinking critically?
If you’re consuming information potentially influenced by AI (social media, news, etc.): Ask yourself: What is the source? Could it have been generated or manipulated by AI? Does it match other reliable sources? Am I falling into an ‘algorithm-created bubble’?
The Eyes of History Are Upon Us: It’s our time to lead with vision.

We are the generation responsible for leading the transition from a world without AI to a world with AI. History is watching us: How will we navigate this transition? Will we rise to the moment we are living?
Our crucial challenge is to ensure that this global change does not lead to a dystopia, but to the co-creation of a world in service to human well-being.
Just as past generations committed to fighting for the abolition of slavery, women’s suffrage, and labor rights that we now enjoy, today it is our turn to guide AI with consciousness and vision.
The historical responsibility falls on you, the human standing here in 2025, facing one of the most important transitions in human history that will determine the future of many generations to come.
Link Foundation: Co-Creating a Conscious Tech Culture

At Link Foundation, we choose to trust in humanity and its incredible potential for good. But this trust does not blind us to the current challenges we face. In fact, seeing those challenges is precisely what drove us to create Link Foundation.
We are aware that the road ahead is long. That's why we believe this is not a time for passivity. These times ask us, for responsibility and a strong sense of sovereignty over ourselves and the impact we generate in the world, however small it may seem.
At Link we are not just teaching how to use technological tools. It goes much further: we seek to promote a world where technology serves the wellbeing of all humanity.
Today more than ever, it's important to educate ourselves about AI and emerging technologies to understand their implications, and make responsible decisions about their use.
